Nose Hair Trimmer Billboard Ads

In Indonesia, Saatchi & Saatchi have figured out probably the most clever way ever to advertise nose hair trimmers. Using actual electrical wires and poles, they’ve tried to emphasize the need for nose hair trimmers as an indispensable grooming device. Although I won’t be running to purchase one anytime soon, you can’t blame Saatchi & Saatchi and their amusing billboards for trying.

Video evidence of a Windows 3.1 Launch Party from October 1992. [confused about this launch party stuff now. Is this a real fake ad, or is Microsoft just being incredibly meta?]

(VIDEO) AT&T 1993 "You Will" Ads

This montage of AT&T ads came from a 1993 Newsweek CD-ROM, when Newsweek thought that one day, magazines would be sent to you in CD-ROM form, sponsored with ads. It's an interesting view of the future.

Don't know what they were doing with the fax machine though.

1999 A.D. (Shopping from Home)

Clip from the 1967 film 1999 A.D. in which we see the family of the future shopping, paying bills and using electronic mail from home. Who would have thunk it!
